Bellis Hall
Bellis Hall is named in honor of Lieutenant General Benjamin Neil Bellis, a longtime member and supporter of The Church at Woodmoor.
β
General Bellis served his country with distinction in the United States Air Force following his graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1946. During a military career spanning more than three decades, he held numerous leadership positions and retired in 1981 with the rank of Lieutenant General. His service included major responsibilities in aviation, defense systems, and international military operations.
He also played important roles in advancing major Air Force programs, including the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft and the F-15 Eagle fighter program during critical periods of development and deployment.
β
Following his military retirement, General Bellis continued serving others as President and CEO of the Falcon Foundation at the United States Air Force Academy from 1982 through 2000. He was also active in numerous civic, charitable, and community organizations throughout Colorado and Wyoming.
β
General Bellis and his wife Rosemary were faithful members of The Church at Woodmoor, contributing their time, leadership, and support to the life of the church and its mission. In recognition of his service, dedication, and lasting impact on our church family, our fellowship hall was named Bellis Hall in his honor.
β
Today, Bellis Hall continues to serve as a place of fellowship, ministry, hospitality, and community — reflecting the spirit of service and commitment that General Bellis exemplified throughout his life.
