ABOUT US
The Church at Woodmoor is a community for Christ followers from all traditions - rooted in faith and dedicated to sharing the work of our Faith in inclusive and diverse ways.
OUR VISION
We strive to follow Jesus’s example by living out our commitment to do good for our community, creating a place of love, charity and belonging; seeking to make a difference in the lives of our members and those in the Tri-Lakes area and beyond.
OUR MISSION
BRING people to Jesus;
TEACH them to be disciples;
BE the Church in the world.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Deeply embedded in the DNA of The Church at Woodmoor is the simplicity of the Apostle’s Creed whose early wording dates back to first Church. Every Sunday we share this creed as our Affirmation of Faith, a way of reminding ourselves and those with us that, while our backgrounds and interpretations may differ, there is a framework in which we, as Christ followers, “live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17: 28)

THE APOSTLE'S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ our Lord who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into Hades. The third day he rose again from the dead and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
OUR HISTORY
Early in the 1970’s a group of Colorado businessmen envisioned a place that they called “Woodmoor.” Many of them had military backgrounds and therefore included in their plans an ecumenical community of faith right in the center of the home sites, much like the ones they were part of during their time in the service. Their hope was that people of diverse Christian traditions would come together on common ground to be The Church in their new home.
This Community of Faith would be called The Church at Woodmoor!
Forty-plus years later, The Church continues its founders’ vision to serve the people not only of Woodmoor, but of the entire Tri-Lakes region including Gleneagle, Larkspur, Briargate, and Black Forest.
God’s handiwork is seen in the beautiful wooded land, wildlife, and mountain views the church strives to share with our neighbors. And God’s plan for love for all is lived out in our determination to be ”rooted in faith and open to all.”
